Watercolor on paper 2017

An original watercolor inspired by the fruits of labor from local farm friends. I worked on a farm in Hadley, Massachusetts after an eight year stint in Brooklyn. This experience inspired me to create this series of vegetables that were produced on this incredible farmland. I was struck by how much the owners of the farm loved their land, their plants, the process of growing food and the vegetables they produced. It is my hope that this series shows the delicate and precious nature that these plants have when they are plucked from the earth.
