I feel that portraits can be captured in so many ways. There are is a multitude of ways in which we, as individuals, choose to express our identities. This piece was a part of a series that focused on non-traditional portraiture, examining several different ways in which we can be represented, whether it be by an object, an activity, a garment, a color, etc. For example, in Alyssa’s case, it was her locket.
